Where to eat in Alicante City

We cannot conceive of a visit to the Levante area without tasting a a good rice. 1. Estiu Rice Restaurant

Restaurant of traditional cuisine with touches of vanguard specializing in rice. They have proposals as curious as rice with veal oxtail and pomegranate, o rice with pig's trotters and raspberries. The menu changes according to the season, and when we went we tasted a rice with mushrooms, duck and foie gras which was spectacular.

Nor are its starters, the burratina salad with tomatoes in textures is one of the salads that we have liked and surprised us the most in a long time. Very tasty also their codfish fritters with aioli. To finish, we tried the dessert they had at that moment, a trompe l'oeil of a lemon pear made of white chocolate: a delight and a very nice presentation!

The place is small, it is one of the hidden restaurants in Alicante, so we advise you to book in advance. As a final recommendation, it is best to let yourselves be advised by the owners in order to enjoy the best gastronomic experience. The price medium are about 35-40€ pp.

2. The embers of San Miguel

This restaurant specializes in grilled meats y beers San Miguel, of which they have many options. We went mainly because we had seen that they have the option of putting a small grill from coal at the table so that you can make the meat to your liking and eat it hot and well done.

3. Bar soul

Restaurant of traditional alicantine cuisine with a touch modern. The quality of the product and the taste of the dishes is appreciated, of what we tasted there was nothing that was not good. We ordered the tomato salad with tuna belly the veal and foie montadito that was spectacular, and some ham croquettes that were super creamy.

Dessert could not be missing a idiazabal cheesecake The cheese is not as curdled as we like it to be. We have yet to try again the rice which also looked great. The place is very cool with a modern decoration and we recommend you to always make a reservation. The average price is 30-40€ pp.

4. Tapas Alicante

Centrally located restaurant where you can have tapas and varied portions. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to eat cheaply in Alicante. We sat by chance in this bar that is right in the center of the city and it was a success, we really liked everything we tried.

We tested two of its caps that they had won a contest provincial:

• The Russian salad It was delicious and you could tell it was homemade.
• And the wantán tail lasagna stew, a reinterpretation of the traditional lasagna that we liked very much.
• The sauces that accompanied it were very tasty.

We also ordered some stewed oxtail croquettes which were very melosas y tasty. The place has a large terrace on the street where it is very comfortable in the summer, and the average price can be around the 15-20€ pp.

5. Sale & Pepe

For lovers of Italian cuisine, this restaurant has a good menu with a wide selection of pizzas as of pasta. In almost every trip, we usually end up falling into one of the following situations Italian since we love this gastronomy. This group has several restaurants in the city, but we went to the one in Barrio.

On this occasion we opted for the pizza diávola (one of our favorites), which was very tasty, and by the tagliatelle al tartufo which are always a safe option. Without being one of the best Italian restaurants we have tried, the food was all very tasty and definitely worth a visit if you are in the mood for this type of cuisine. 6. Tribeca

Hamburger Restaurant with options for all tastes, since in addition to hamburgers and hot dogs customers have bowls and salads a little more "healthy" on the menu. We opted for the burgers, but we have to say that the buda bowls also looked good.

We ordered as a starter a hummus trio very tasty, and then we tasted the Royal, with goat cheese and foie gras which was spectacular, and the Mexican Although it was good, we liked it less than the other one.

It has menu of the day both burgers and bowls for 14,95€, a highly recommended and cheap option for lunch. A la carte, the average price is 16-20€ pp.
