1. Nicks Koh Phi Phi Phi

In our culinary exploration of Koh Phi Phi Don, we stumbled upon a little corner that deserves a special mention: the restaurant Nick's Koh Phi Phi. This place is a real find for those looking to savor the essence of Thailand through its gastronomy. The typical food at Nick's includes from the classic Pad Thai to some exquisite currys full of flavor and aroma, all prepared in a homemade way and with care.

We opted to try one of our favorite Thai dishes, the minced beef sautéed with basil and spices accompanied by rice and a fried egg, spectacular! We also tried a dish we had been waiting for, the Chicken Tom Yum which we accompanied with some rice, which although the owner assured us that it was not spicy, it was quite potent and spicier than she had told us (it was still delicious).

Price-wise, dining at Nick's is quite cheap compared to the rest of the restaurants on Koh Phi Phi Phi. You can expect to spend around 200-300 baht per person, which makes it a great option to enjoy good food at a reasonable price.

2. Pha-Noi Thai Food

Pha-Noi Thai Food is a hidden gem on Koh Phi Phi Don that you cannot miss if you are looking for authenticity and flavor. This place, located in the food court of Koh Phi Phi Phi, will transport you directly to the heart of Koh Phi Phi Don Thai cuisine with its offer of traditional dishes. The place is super curious since the walls are all full of signatures and drawings of customers.

We liked this restaurant very much and we thought it was very good value for money, so we repeated several times. Among the delicacies we tasted, the sautéed veal with oyster sauce accompanied by rice and fried egg took the cake. The classics rice noodles with chicken and vegetables are also delicious. Everything is always accompanied by a Chang beer, and in this case, with water, which is free at all tables.

The average price is around 200 baht per person, which makes Pha-Noi a more than attractive option for those looking for quality at a good price. Don't expect luxury, but expect an authentic and relaxed atmosphere where the food is the real star.

3. Cosmic Restaurant

Cosmic Restaurant on Koh Phi Phi Don is the perfect place for those who, after days of immersing themselves in the intensity of Thai cuisine, are looking for a change of flavor without sacrificing quality. Although Thailand is not exactly famous for its Italian food Cosmic defies expectations with a surprisingly authentic and delicious offer. They have a rather long menu with many options, also from Thai food But as our trip was coming to an end, we decided to change it up a bit and try their western food, which was a success.

We opted for a pizza with ham and mushrooms and some homemade gnocchis with cheese sauce. The pizza, with a thin and crunchy base in the purest Italian style, and the gnocchis, soft and bathed in a creamy cheese sauce, left us very surprised by their quality and flavor.

The average price in Cosmic is a little higher than the local average, at around 300-400 THB per person, since, as we mentioned at the beginning, Western food in Thailand is usually more expensive than Thai food. However, it is quite worth it if you feel like a change from the type of food, as it is all very tasty and not very different from any average Italian we have tasted in Spain.

Garlic 1992

Garlic 1992 on Koh Phi Phi Don is the island's trendiest restaurant focusing on Thai food with intense flavors that you only notice when you walk by and smell their food. There is usually a line almost always (we have not passed by at any time when there wasn't) but it doesn't take them long to seat you.

We tasted some of its star dishes, the rice with seafood and pineapple which is served in the pineapple itself, and the Khao Soi both super tasty and perfectly prepared. The average price at Garlic 1992 is around 200-300 baht per person, which makes it an excellent option to enjoy a good lunch or dinner on Koh Phi Phi Phi.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy with a curious decor all full of posters and they have a paper with thai expressions translated into English super curious!

5. Ton Pore Plaza Restaurant

If you're on Koh Phi Phi Phi looking for a place to fill your stomach without emptying your pocket, the Ton Pore Plaza Restaurant is your place. This little corner, unpretentious but cozy, is one of those places that makes you feel part of the island. It is located in the food court of Koh Phi Phi Phi, surrounded by smells, people inviting you to eat at their place, and loud signs with the different menus.

It specializes in Thai cuisine quite homemade. Do not miss the Chicken Pad Thai We also tasted another of our favorite dishes, the noodles, with that contrast of flavors, and the noodles just right. We also tasted another of our favorite dishes, the green curry which is a bit of a spicy bomb but we love it.

Regarding the price, a dinner for two, with a couple of dishes each and beers, should not cost more than 600 baht (remember that if you drink water it is much cheaper!).

6. D.M.C Restaurant & Bar

The D.M.C Restaurant & Bar is a very good option to try Thai food as well as to eat some of their pizzas or more Western pastas. The funny thing about this place is that you sit down to order and, while you decide whether you want something Thai or go for the European, they put a board game in front of you. Isn't it amazing? You don't even realize you are waiting.

We decided to try the gnocchi with ragu and, my goodness, what a success. We also tried a pizza with mushrooms, ham and eggs surprisingly tasty. In addition, the treatment of the people is a tipzo, super nice all.

In terms of prices they are similar to all the mid-priced restaurants on Koh Phi Phi that we tell you about in this list: pastas at 100 baht, pizzas for 150 baht, Thai food at 90 baht and cocktails at 99 baht. As we have already told you, western food is always the most expensive and alcoholic drinks even more. We paid 350-400 baht for our dinner for two.

7. Breakfast & Friends

To start the day in Koh Phi Phi Phi with good energy, you can't miss BreakFast & Friends. This small place, located in a corner, is one of those places that, although modest in size, are giants in flavor and affection, and one of the essential places to visit having breakfast in Koh Phi Phi. The elderly lady who runs it is a charm, always attentive and with a smile.

The first thing we recommend is the natural juices The passion fruit one is a real treat. But if you like to start your day with a good breakfast, the fruit and yogurt menu is a top choice. The fruit comes very fresh and in quantities that will not leave you hungry, and all for a few euros 120 baht. During the days we were in the area, we stopped by here several times and what we recommend you try is 100% roti with banana and Nutella It's so tasty, it's so good you'll cry.
