Casa Lola

Casa Lola is one of those Malaga classics that you can't miss if you like well-made and cheap tapas. They serve an incredible variety of tapas and portions with that traditional Andalusian touch that everyone loves. The best thing is that they have several locations spread throughout the city, so you'll always have one nearby while you explore Málaga. Of course, They do not accept reservations, so be prepared to queue a bit, but it's worth it!

We always ask some of their paellas, which come loaded with flavor and well served to share. In addition, you can order one of their grilled or fried fish, cockles, grilled shrimp, everything is spectacular! We especially love their dish of whitebait with fried egg on.

They are usually quite busy so we recommend you book in advance, especially on weekends or holidays. The price-performance ratio is quite good, with an average spend of 20-25 € per person, depending on what you order. Plus, the portions are generous, so you'll leave feeling satisfied.

Pretty Girl Cantina

Pretty Girl Cantina is a Mexican corner with a lot of vibe where you can enjoy authentic flavors in full Soho neighborhood This place is ideal for a casual dinner with friends or even to score some daisies with dinner. Here, cochinita, guacamole, and tacos take center stage, but there's much more to discover.

This restaurant is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Malaga, and we can tell you that everything is always delicious. We recommend the chilaquiles as a starter to share (the tortilla chips are homemade) and then try some of their quesadillas and tacos: the quesadilla of cochinita pibil It's spectacular and comes with spicy pickled onions. The tacos with sudadero de res, tinga poblano, or anything else—they're all delicious!

It's not a very big place and they don't usually do several shifts, so it is advisable to reserve so you don't miss out on a table. The average price is around 20-25 € per person, depending on how many dishes you want to share.

Plus, they've just moved to a slightly larger location, so this is your chance to try it out.

Almijara Casual Bar

Almijara Casual Bar is a gem a little out of the center from Malaga, but we promise you it's totally worth the visit. This restaurant blends the best of the modern cuisine with traditional flavors, creating dishes that surprise. If you like exploring different places off the beaten path, this place is a sure bet.

As one of our favorite restaurants in Malaga, we can say that everything we've tried there is always delicious. We highly recommend it the bluefin tuna camperito with Iberian jowl and eel mayonnaise, delicious! toasted noodles, the croquettes or the Russian salad are other of their classics that never fail. In addition, they always have some different off-menu which is worth trying as it is usually very good.

As for prices, you can enjoy an incredible gastronomic experience for about 20-25 € per person, which is great for the quality of the dishes. We recommend going with friends so you can try different dishes; we guarantee you'll be back.

The Orellana Lighthouse

The Orellana Lighthouse is a traditional Malaga tavern, perfect for enjoying tasty, homemade tapas at a good price. Although they recently opened a larger establishment opposite, We recommend you go to the classic, which is smaller but has that authentic charm that makes it unique. If you're looking for a traditional, no-frills experience, this place won't disappoint.

Of all the dishes we have tried, yakitori chicken takes first place with that sweet-salty glaze touch typical of the Japanese recipe. We also love its rice with secret, a dish that will make you want to repeat, or its Korean bravas, a classic with a very rich twist.

The atmosphere at Perro Viejo is modern and spacious, with large tables that are great for groups. The decor blends wood, warm lighting, and industrial details, giving it a casual yet polished feel. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of the dishes, with an average spend of €25 per person.

Recyclo Bike Café

Recyclo Bike Café is a unique place in Malaga which combines the best of a cozy cafe with a very original cycling theme (they give you a discount if you go in bike!). It's ideal for a leisurely breakfast, a brunch with friends, or a shared dinner. Plus, they're committed to fresh ingredients sy healthy dishes, perfect if you're looking for something different!

Among the dishes, their highlights are: toasts, bowls and hamburgers, all prepared with great care. We quite like their hummus its arepas or its country chicken and Serrano ham, ideal for sharing among several people.

The atmosphere of Recyclo is bohemian and relaxed, and it's also very well located in the heart of Malaga, so it's easy to get to after a walk around the city. The prices are quite reasonable, with an average cost of 17-20€ per person for a more complete meal.

It's best to order several rations to share and try a little bit of everything.

The atmosphere of Lo Güeno Mesón is typical and very charming, with rustic decor and attentive waiters who explain every detail of the menu. It's a perfect place for a family meal or to go with friends and enjoy a good after-dinner chat. The prices are reasonable, with an average spend of €20 per person, depending on how many servings you share.
