On our trip to Fuerteventura we were based in Corralejo for a few days and we were testing the canary gastronomy of the area: wrinkled potatoes with mojo sauce, goat meat, o fish typical of the islands. In this small town located in the north of the island, there is a lot of atmosphere and many restaurants to choose from. So, whether you stay in Corralejo as we did, as if you are passing by and want to know where to eat near the Corralejo Dunes, we leave you a list of the best restaurants for us. where to eat well in Corralejo.
We also leave here other articles about Corralejo and its surroundings so you don't miss anything:
1. Gilda Casa de Pinchos & Tapas
Restaurant of typical canarian food and style dishes merger in the heart of Corralejo, perfect for tapas and try a little of everything. When you ask for the menu they leave you a small blackboard where they have it written, which we found super original. We repeated several times in this place and tried several dishes that were very tasty:
- Wrinkled potatoes with mojo. One of our favorite Canarian dishes, we love spicy and this sauce was finger-licking good.
- Kataifi shrimp with mango sauce. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, very original and delicious. Accompanied with a mango sauce for dipping.
- Pig meat Typical pork meat of the islands. It seemed to us a more normal dish, but it was correct.
- Shrimp cigarettes. Very crunchy and tasty too.
The place is tiny and they have some tables outside, so we recommend you to come early to eat there. We had to wait a long time and eat inside since it was impossible to eat at the tables outside.
Restaurant with a very good quality-price ratio, totally recommended for a finger food dinner in Corralejo. From our point of view, it is one of the best restaurants to eat well and cheap in Corralejo. The average price is 18€. per person.
Gregory the Fisherman
If you are looking for a restaurant where to eat fish in Corralejo, this is your place. As the name already indicates, Gregorio el Pescador is specializing in fish and homemade Mediterranean food. We saw it recommended in several blogs and decided to try it, becoming one of the most popular restaurants in the city best restaurants we tested in Corralejo.
They have fresh fish and good raw material. We tried the squid tiptoes The fish was well seasoned and perfectly fried, and the fresh fish of the day, which turned out to be Cherne (white fish typical of the Canary Islands). We ordered it with salt on the recommendation of the waiter and it was a success, spectacular. They finish preparing it at the table and serve it to you clean on the plate, accompanied by salad and wrinkled potatoes with aioli, red mojo y green mojo.
In future visits to Corralejo we would definitely return to this restaurant, it has very good value for money and very good treatment. If you have the choice we recommend you to sit in the terrace We were inside and there was a bit of a hustle and bustle of waiters. The average price is 25€. per person eating super well.

3. Pizzeria Peperone
Small pizzeria run by Italians located in the pedestrian zone of Corralejo. Its pizzas are thin crust and they are spectacular, perfect for dinner when you don't know where to go or you're tired of eating potatoes with mojo (does anyone ever get tired of this??).
We tried the pizza pepperoni with black olives and that of speck and brie cheese both delicious and perfectly made.
They have an indoor facility and, in addition, a terrace in which one is very comfortable, all full of little chairs of super Italian colors. Totally recommendable place for a relaxed dinner. The average price per person is 15€.

4. 13 Bistrot & Tapas Bar
Tapas bar fusion of Italian and Canarian cuisine located in Corralejo. Its Italian cuisine is based on the Sardinian gastronomy Since we were in Sardinia a few years ago and we loved it, this was one of the reasons why we decided to try this place. The dishes we ordered were:
- Gnocchetti sardi with sausage ragout. Gnocchettis with a very creamy sauce and a nice touch with the sausages. It reminded us of what we ate in Sardinia, very tasty.
- Fried squid. Well seasoned and fried.
- Burrito with veal carasau bread and goat cheese. Curious, a burrito with a different filling than the ones we usually eat. Perhaps it was the dish that least convinced us because we expected something else.
Restaurant recommended for a quiet dinner on the terrace if you like Italian and fusion food. Very good service, although the food was a little slow we imagine that due to the large number of people who were eating. Good value for money, being the average price per person of 23€.
5. Breakwater
This nice restaurant located near the pier in Corralejo specializes in grilled fish and seafood y paellas. It has a very cozy and beachy atmosphere, and you can eat with spectacular views in front of the sea.
We tested some garlic shrimp as a starter and its famous seafood paella. The prawns were correct and the rice was just right and tasty, although we have tasted better. We wanted to try some grilled fish because it looked great.
We recommend this restaurant for a special occasion for example, for a romantic lunch or dinner in front of the sea. The atmosphere is paid and that shows in the bill, with prices somewhat higher than the rest of the restaurants on the list without a particularly noticeable difference in the quality of the food. The service is very good by the staff. The average price per person is 30-40€ per person.
6. Restaurant La Fraschetta
In Fuerteventura there is a small Italian colony and it shows in the restaurants. This small Italian restaurant from Roman cuisine was near our hotel and seeing it always full we decided to try it. It is a quite local place, located in the restaurant areas for tourists on the island.
We ask for Caccio and Peppe pasta, which they brought in a kind of frying pan, and a pizza diavola with typical Roman dough, a little thicker. We liked the food, although it's not among the best Italian dishes we've tried. A recommended place to go cheap dinner in Corralejo. The average price is 15 per person.
7. The Hook
Restaurant located on the seafront avenue of Corralejo, is another of the most recommended options if you want to eat fish o seafood with sea views in Corralejo.
Their menu offers options for all tastes, from pizzas to pasta, fish, or paellas (which didn't quite convince us, as we prefer a short menu). We tried some prawn lollipops and a grilled sea bass which was correct.
Like Rompeolas, this restaurant seems a bit touristy to us, with slightly high prices for being right on the beach. However, the food is good, and we would recommend it if you want to eat near the beach in Corralejo and don't mind paying the extra average price is €30 per person.

Bonus: El Gusto Artisan Ice Cream Parlor
This small ice cream shop artisanal ice creams It was quite a discovery in Corralejo. They have very few flavors, which change daily since they're handmade.
