We will tell you what are for us some of the best tapas bars from Granada. In most places, the drink is usually worth under 3€ and it's always accompanied by a tapa. There's usually a tapas menu, and you can choose from two varieties per table. There are only a couple of places where you can't choose, which we'll tell you about below.
If you spend several days in Granada we recommend our favorite restaurants in these posts:
1. Bar the diamonds
Legendary bar in Granada specializing in Mediterranean cuisine and specifically in fish Don't miss their tapas of marinated dogfish, clams, or fried squid. They also serve small portions if you'd like to share. The original bar is a small establishment on Navas Street, but its huge success has led to the opening of two more locations in the city center and two more in the surrounding area. The most easily found location is the one in Plaza Bib-Rambla.

2. The Sitarilla
Bar of traditional Spanish food and typical Granada dishes, it's one of our favorite tapas bars in Granada. Its typical Andalusian decor is immediately apparent from the outside, and inside, the space resembles a classic tavern decorated with colorful murals of Granada.
You can't choose the tapas at this bar, but honestly, you don't need to because everything is so good. You can tell the food is homemade, and it's usually quite full, almost always with people waiting outside. If you go, you'll definitely try their tapas meat in sauce or rice of the day. You can also order portions, which are quite generous.

3. The Manuels
Los Manueles is one of the oldest and most famous bars in Granada where you can enjoy traditional cuisine grenadine. It is essential to try their tapa of croquettes, its cover meatballs, or the meat in sauce. It's hard to choose just one! They also have a breakfast menu, a restaurant menu, and a daily menu. Being such a famous bar, the prices are a little higher than other places, but the truth is that everything is very delicious. Some of our favorite dishes besides the tapas are the Nasrid chicken with couscous and the mini pork rib campero.
They have 5 locations in the center of Granada, and there are almost always people waiting to be seated, but with a little patience you can get a spot.
⚠ Caution!
At the establishment on Cárcel Baja Street, they once told us that they weren't serving tapas (although we don't know if it was on time because there were a lot of people waiting).
4. Bar Poe
One of the most international bars in Granada, its tapas are inspired by different cultures and countries around the world. It's a tiny place run by a charming English gentleman and his Angolan wife, and it's always packed with Erasmus students. Our favorite tapas are the Thai chicken and the pork and pineapple skewer, but they're all very unusual and delicious. They're not very big, though, so if you want to have tapas there, you'll have to order a few.
5. Bar Bubión
Bar of Mediterranean cuisine With a wide variety of tapas that they update from time to time. It's another of our favorite bars in Granada, and one we visit whenever we can.
Its star tapa, which you cannot miss, is lemon fried chicken, accompanied by fries and aioli, finger-licking good! The place is small and they also have a terrace, although if you go at dinner time it's always packed and you usually have to wait a while (the good thing is that they have some little benches where they let you have a beer while you wait for a table).
Their tapas are great and in addition to the chicken we recommend the typical little hamburger or any of its montaditos Due to its success, they opened the Bubión II location, which is a very short walk from the first one.

6. The Peruvian
Student bar par excellence, on weekends it's impossible to get in without waiting in line at the door for a while. They have a variety of tapas, including some Peruvian recipes, since, as the name suggests, the owners are Peruvian tapas are great and they usually come with fries, so if you're not a big eater, two tapas will be enough for you. Spectacular meat in sauce its Peruvian chicken and rice or its chicken and avocado sandwich.

💰Bring cash!
It's surprising that it's one of the few bars that still doesn't accept card payments, although at least they have a big sign on the door saying so (we had to run out to get some money!)
7. Bella Kurva
Tapas bar and international food guy Thai, Japanese and Tex-Mex. It's one of the most original places to go for tapas in Granada if you're tired of eating the same old thing. The tapas here aren't very big, but they're delicious, and there are plenty of other options (quesadillas, udon noodles, nachos with guacamole, pad thai, etc.). We really like their red curry paste (spicy!) or that of chicken tika masala They also have a wide variety of craft beers.

8. Bar Aliatar
This is not a tapas bar as such, it is a snack bar, but it's one of the must-sees on any visit to Granada. The food is very good and cheap, and the hard part is finding a spot in the original location, just off Reyes Católicos Street.
They have a great selection of snacks that is divided into hot and cold, and two sandwich sizes, medium and large. We recommend ordering two medium sizes so you can try two different ones. Our favorite is the San Francisco, a sandwich of pork, bacon, cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise that is spectacular.
They have options for all tastes, from the most traditional ones like the sandwich broad beans with ham to hot dogs They have another location on San Antón Street, larger than the original and with a terrace.

9. Ávila tapas II
Without a doubt, one of our favorites when we're in the area near El Corte Inglés or the Genil River. Ávila Tapas is one of Granada's classic bars that maintains all the essence of having always been there.
The star cap is yours roast ham You have to order this as soon as you walk in the door, if they let you, because it's usually packed. It's best to go a little before dinner or lunch time to get a decent spot; otherwise, they'll try to squeeze you in anywhere, but you'll be standing.
Among the rest of the tapas that you can try, the following stand out: meatballs in sauce, little hamburgers and a few more classics, so there's something for everyone. The icing on the cake is the price: a tapa plus a beer for just 2.5 or 3 euros. What else do you need us to tell you?
