My Friend Restaurant

Small restaurant in Thai food run by a lady who warns you from the very first moment that her restaurant is not for people in a hurry (there are several signs and a notice on the menu that she also pointed out to us when we ordered). We tried their massaman curry accompanied by white rice and stir-fried rice noodles with chicken and vegetables and everything was delicious, you can tell it is homemade and made with care. In addition, despite the warnings, it did not seem to take much longer than any other restaurant in the area, here they take much more time than any other restaurant in the area slow life! The price of the meal and a couple of Chang beers was around 300-400 baths.

2. Lucky Tree Restaurant

Trendy restaurant in the area, serving both Thai food like western and even Indian. We went because it was close to our hotel, we saw that it was almost full and had good reviews on google, and it was a good choice. However, the waiting time from the time we were served until the food was brought was quite long. We ordered their fried chicken which is spectacular with a very juicy breading (the best we have eaten in Thailand), and a rice with chicken and vegetabless sautéed with soy sauce very tasty too. The price of the meal was 360 THB including one small and one large beer.

3. Three Sisters Restaurant

Local restaurant run by 3 super nice sisters. They have varied food like the rest of the restaurants on the island, but we almost always opt for the Thai food. They serve a multitude of curries, and on this occasion we tasted the green curry which became one of our favorites of this trip and was spectacular. We also ordered a classic rice with chicken and vegetables delicious. The meal was around 350 THB always accompanied by a cold beer.

4. Lantasure Restaurant

Restaurant located on the roadside in Koh Lanta, where you can eat practically everything: Thai food, hamburgers, pasta, pizza etc. We went to try it because it is right next to Lucky Tree and we saw that it also had a lot of people eating and good reviews. We tried the Thai food and it was delicious. We had the traditional meat with basil and spicy which we became very fond of during this trip and some of the sautéed egg noodles with chicken and vegetables. The spectacular Thai dessert could not be missing either mango sticky rice Although we found it a bit expensive (120 THB), it was quite big. In this case it was around 450 THB the meal, to add dessert.

5. Patty's Secret Garden by the Sea

Restaurant located on the beach of Klong Khong, especially recommended for dinner in a very nice place watching the sunset. In terms of food they have everything: sandwiches, salads, burguers, Thai food or even English breakfasts. We went there because there were quite a few people dining there and because they have a very nice and neat decoration The restaurant is more expensive than those on the side of the road, but the prices are still very affordable. This restaurant is more expensive than those on the side of the road, yet the prices are still totally affordable. We tried a rice with chicken and vegetables and a panang curry for 450-500 THB.

6. Diamond Cliff Beach Restaurant

Restaurant with spectacular views to Nui Beach, specializing in fish and seafood although they also have typical thai food y western (they have a huge menu). We came across this restaurant on our way to Nui Beach (you literally walk through it) and decided to have a beer appreciating the view and have a snack. The prices are a bit more expensive than in other restaurants due to its privileged location (150 THB Chang beer large), but we think it is a spectacular place to watch the sunset on Ko Lanta, perhaps enjoying one of their cocktails.

7. Family Seafood Restaurant

We discovered this restaurant by chance on our way to Bamboo Beach. We stopped because we wanted to have a beer with a view and in the end we decided to end up eating there. They have a pretty extensive menu with options for all tastes (pizza, pasta, burgers and Thai food) but we played it safe and ordered a rice with vegetables and some sautéed rice noodles with soy and chicken. We didn't have high expectations of the place but they were some of the tastiest noodles we tried on the island, very tasty. Needless to say, you eat with spectacular views Bamboo Beach and that's why they take advantage of the prices, which are higher than in other restaurants (especially if you ask for western dishes or meat dishes) but still affordable. We paid 400 THB approx. with beer included.

8. Frankie's Koh Lanta

Located literally on the beach of Klong Khong, it is one of the best places to watch the sunset in Ko Lanta. This place more than to eat we recommend it to have a drink enjoying the sunset spectacular sunsets of Ko Lanta. They have coffee, milkshakes, cocktails y varied food if you are up for it. We took a couple of coffees a bit expensive for Thailand (70-80 THB), but totally worth it for the views. They have some poufs directly in the sand where you feel super comfortable and some of them are loungers in a covered area.

9. Pier Lanta Restaurant

Restaurant located right in the port of Ko Lanta, where we waited to go to Phi Phi and we took the opportunity to eat something. It is quite a nice place tourist but we tried it because our transportation picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off right at the port. They have everything: milkshakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, Thai food, india etc. We didn't have high expectations but we didn't eat badly and they brought the food relatively fast compared to the times they manage on the island. We ate rice noodles with chicken and vegetables and rice with chicken and vegetables by 300-400 THB with beer.
